The Process

If you’ve never worked with a staffing agency like Metro Recruiting before, this is basically how the recruiting and placement process works:

1)

Create an online profile and upload your resume.

2)

Search available openings on Metro Recruiting’s Jobs page.

3)

Email the recruiter listed for each job that interests you.

4)

Whether you browse available temporary, temp to hire or direct hire openings or not, one of Metro’s top recruiters will contact you for an in-depth interview. We’re looking for more information about your background, successes (and failures), aspirations, availability, etc. Metro will add notes to your profile in our database.

5)

Your Metro recruiter will verify your previous employers and references. (Some employers do require background checks and/or drug screenings before hiring.)

6)

Once a job match becomes available, Metro Recruiting will contact you via phone/email to talk about the opportunity. We’ll give you job specifics and, if it piques your interest, we’ll give you insider interviewing and resume-tailoring tips to better match the position if needed.

7)

Metro will submit your resume for position consideration, along with other appropriate candidates. We’re very careful about whom we recommend to clients, so, no worries, you’re not going to be competing with 100s of other people for the job.

8)

If the client has interest in speaking with you, after reviewing your resume, Metro Recruiting will act as the liaison to set up a phone or in-person interview. We’ll send you directions to the client’s location, the interview time and answer any other questions you may have about the company or position.

9)

After an interview, please contact your Metro recruiter via phone/email to let us know how it went, your impressions of the people you met, the culture, etc.

10)

For any follow-up interviews, Metro Recruiting will continue to be your go-between.

11)

If you land the job, for temporary and temp-to-hire positions, you’ll be a Metro Recruiting independent contractor. If it’s a direct hire with a Metro client, you will be the client’s employee.

12)

Metro Recruiting remains your resource after the placement has been made. Keep us informed about how it’s going, especially about any problems or issues that may arise. We want to assure you’re happy and want to keep the conversation going about future opportunities and your career outlook.
